LIKE millions of people out there, most of our staff are now working from home because of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic and the ensuing enhanced community quarantine. Video calls from home provide us a very intimate window into each other’s lives. Children making faces will suddenly pop up in the background, there will be sounds of dogs barking, and people wearing suit top and boxers below are a common occurrence. It has been a candid personal experience. Almost everyone has been embracing and enjoying this new norm.

However, when this lockdown is lifted, we all need to recalibrate our operating system. While it’s difficult to predict exactly what a post-Covid-19 workplace will look like, we anticipate that remote working and digital collaboration will play an ongoing role in our industry and beyond.
