BACOOR, Cavite: A coastal village here was placed on lockdown starting 12 midnight of June 4 up to June 15 due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) outbreak in the area. Sitio Aroma in Barangay Zapote 5 has been placed on total lockdown said Mayor Lani Mercado-Revilla. This means no local resident is allowed to go out or enter the place. City Police chief LtCol. Vicente Cabatingan has deployed police officers to the area with the assistance of village officers. The mayor said village residents would be provided with food and medicine supplies. The Barangay Health Emergency Response Team will continue their contact tracing. Family members of patients are undergoing rapid testing. The liqour and gambling ban are in effect and violators will be apprehended. Bacoor City has 129 Covid-19 cases as of June 4.
