CAVITE CITY: A man under police custody and charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or illegal possession of illegal drugs was brought to a hospital after experiencing difficulty in breathing on Saturday at Cavite City detention cell here. He later died at the hospital of suspected coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19). LtCol. Franco Reglos, acting chief of police, identified the detainee as Alexander Taguinod, 43, male, single, jobless and a resident of Barangay 56, Cavite City. Taguinod was declared dead by attending physician Dr. Bryan Allen Gomez. Cavite City had eight Covid-19 positive cases as of Saturday.
