Debates on ABS-CBN bills start

The House of Representatives has yet to reach a consensus on whether media giant ABS-CBN Corp. should be granted a franchise.

This developed as lawmakers debated whether to renew or grant a new franchise to the network during the joint hearing of the Committees on Legislative Franchises and Good Government and Public Accountability.
