THE Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) targets to install more than 3 million “smart meters” that would monitor electricity consumption in real time within its coverage area over the next eight years, its chief said on Tuesday.
During the power distributor’s virtual annual stockholders’ meeting, President and Chief Executive Officer Ray Espinosa said the plan to install these meters for 3.3 million customers was part of the company’s “roadmap.”
