President Rodrigo Duterte gave three government agencies one week to see to it that the repatriated 24,000 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), who have been lingering in quarantine facilities while waiting for the results of their coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) test, are sent home.

RARING TO GO HOME Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) wear face masks as they steer their luggage carts out of the crowded portion of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 in Pasay City on May 25, 2020, where they underwent the mandatory 14-day quarantine period after taking Covid-19 tests that later turned out to be negative. The government will facilitate the return of these OFWs to their provinces as part of efforts to decongest Metro Manila and prevent the further spread of the virus. PHOTO BY ENRIQUE AGCAOILI
