BACOLOD CITY: A businessman was shot dead in front of his business establishment at Narra Street, Capitol Shopping Center, Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City, at about 5 p.m. Thursday in another case of broad daylight shooting in the city. Three suspects shot and killed Roland Tan after he boarded his Toyota Land Cruiser parked in front of Crown Agri Infinity Lending Corp., which he owned. Initial investigation showed that the suspects shot him at close range and escaped on foot. Maj. Renante Jomocan, Station 4 chief, said the victim was rushed to the Dr. Pablo O. Torre Memorial Hospital where he was declared dead. The police will review the closed-circuit television camera footage near the crime scene to help them in the investigation. Tan is the latest fatality in the long list of victims shot dead in Bacolod City that remain unsolved.
