MANILA City Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso has offered his local government’s online tax payment system to all local government units (LGUs) in the country for free. Domagoso said in order to curb the potential exposure of taxpayers to the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid)-19, fellow LGUs may utilize the city’s online tax payment system for their respective cities or municipalities. “I am calling to all mayors nationwide, if you want, we are offering our online payment system for free,” Domagoso said in Filipino in his regular Facebook live address on Friday night. He also assured that the system is not only convenient but also secure as money is directly transmitted to the city government’s coffers.
