The government is pushing for cashless transactions in taxis and transport network vehicle service (TNVS) to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in the Philippines.

This as the Department of Transportation (DoTr) seeks to partner with digital payment providers after allowing taxi operators and transport network companies (TNCs) to ply the roads in areas under general community quarantine (GCQ).
