SEN. Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go has commended honest Filipinos who returned cash assistance from the Social Amelioration Program (SAP), even as he asked government agencies to account for every peso spent for coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) aid.
“Despite the hardship affecting practically everyone because of the Covid-19 pandemic, there are still individuals who were honest enough when they chose to return cash assistance received due to duplication or return doubled emergency financial assistances in favor of those who have not received assistance during the crisis,” said Go, chairman of the Senate Health and Demography committee.
