THE highest compliment is in order to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and the Philippine Embassy in Beijing for fighting for the release of a female Filipino accountant who is being illegally detained in China.

The accountant, Florita Santos, is being held by the police in Shanghai as a witness against a Chinese who absconded with hundreds of millions of dollars in funds.
