Kaingin, or slash-and-burn farming, has risen in the Angat and Ipo watersheds in Bulacan with the onset of the rainy season.

The Angat and Ipo watersheds are the primary sources of raw water for Metro Manila residents and their water elevation is fast receding, as the summer month led to bigger consumption of water coupled by the big demand to fend of the coronavirus pandemic.
