THE Manila Police District (MPD) on Sunday reported the arrest of a tricycle driver who allegedly raped a runaway 16-year-old girl. Danilo Aranas, 27, surrendered to Manila police on Saturday, a few hours after he allegedly raped a Grade 9 student along Cabildo Street corner Soriano Avenue in Intramuros District around 7 p.m. The victim allegedly after she and her live-in partner quarreled. Aranas offered the victim a free ride. Upon reaching Soriano Street he parked the tricycle and started molesting the victim while the rain was pouring heavily. Aranas surrendered near his residence in Barangay 649 in Baseco before he was turned over to Ermita Police Station 5.
