COTABATO CITY: The chief minister of the Bangsamoro government has designated a new officer-in-charge for its public information office, according to a statement on Wednesday. Interim Chief Minister Ahod ‘Al Haj Murad’ Ebrahim of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) has designated Ameen Andrew Alonto as the new Officer-in-Charge and Executive Director of the BARMM’s Bureau of Public Information effective April 29, replacing Dr. Norodin Salam who will be assigned to another post. Salam turned over the leadership of the bureau to Alonto on Wednesday. Prior to his designation as the new BPI acting chief, Alonto worked as an executive assistant at the Bangsamoro Government’s Office of the Cabinet Secretary. He also served in the Bangsamoro Transition Commission (BTC) and the Regional Legislative Assembly (RLA) of the defunct-Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM).
