GOVERNMENT lawyers warned the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) that it could face charges before the Office of the Ombudsman after it granted provisional authority (PA) to ABS-CBN Corp. and its affiliate ABS-CBN Convergence to operate.
Solicitor General Jose Calida told The Manila Times that the NTC should not be too eager in giving the PA, which has no basis in law.
