COTABATO CITY: Military officials confirmed that a boat and the headless body of a man were found in the southernmost province of Tawi-Tawi and that authorities were verifying if he could be a Chinese adventurer, who went missing while rowing across the Pacific Ocean last year.
Regional military commander Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana said the head of the man found at the shoreline of Kinapusan Island, Barangay Nusa-Nusa, South Ubian, Tawi-Tawi last Friday was severed by strong waves as the body drifted in the high seas for a long time. Sobejana clarified that the corpse was not a case of beheading.
