IATF should study Siracusa principles to refine its policymaking

LEST it become arbitrary in promulgating the rules and regulations for the enhanced community quarantine and general community quarantine (GCQ), we urge the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) to spend a little time studying the famous Siracusa Principles that underpin United Nations policy on governing quarantines.

This way, the nation can avoid the current controversy over the bizarre new restrictions on senior citizens that would immobilize a vital segment of our citizenry.
