AND there it was, a music video made in China, with direct participation by two of our local artists, one of whom is an elected official, Camarines Sur Vice Gov. Imelda Papin, with cameo appearances by President Rodrigo Duterte and some of his Cabinet officials. At first glance, it looks like a music video that appears to celebrate the partnership between China and the Philippines in the fight against the 2019 coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

But if there is one emerging theme to come out of this, it is the overwhelming view of many that the music video is a tasteless, insensitive piece of propaganda that demeans Filipinos. It is so offensive that some pro-Duterte bloggers have even joined the criticism and condemnation.
