LWH encourages in vitro fertilization for couples after quarantine

INFERTILITY has become increasingly common as many couples are hobbled with stress in fast-paced workplaces worldwide. Studies have shown that one out of four couples in developed countries struggle with fertility problems.

In the Philippines, one out of ten people suffers from infertility. “Common treatments for infertility include artificial insemination and test-tube babies. Through continuous research and studies, Taiwan has enhanced the implantation rate of test-tube babies to 36.7 percent, next only to the US,” said Dr. Maw-Sheng Lee, president of Lee Women’s Hospital (LWH), Taiwan’s prestigious reproductive medical center.
