A Fitch Group unit trimmed its growth forecast for the country’s construction sector to 3.6 percent this year as the Philippines continues to fight the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic.
In a report on Friday, Fitch Solutions said the figure was a downgrade from its previous projection of 5.8 percent, noting that the public health crisis weighed down construction activity in the country.
