PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte has approved the recommendation of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases to move the opening of classes to September in areas placed under general community quarantine (GCQ) amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic.

In a recorded public address aired over state-run PTV4 on Friday, Palace spokesman Harry Roque reasoned that the possible transmitters of the disease were those below 20 years old, even if they were classified as low to moderate risks.
