CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna: The Police Regional Office 4A (Calabarzon) and the Police Regional Office 4B (Mimaropa) raised a total of over P16 million from the voluntary contributions from the members of the police force for the PNP fundraising campaign dubbed PNP Bayanihan Fund Challenge. Also called “Sariling Alay ng mga Pulis (SAP) para sa Mahihirap” the challenge seeks to raise at least P200 million from individual voluntary contributions of PNP personnel in response to President Rodrigo Duterte’s candid admission of the government’s “extreme difficulty in providing the basic needs of the poorest of the poor in a prolonged crisis.” The total amount collected from the Police Commissioned Officers, Police Non-Commissioned Officers and Non-Uniformed Personnel of this Police Regional Office reached the P16.3 million.
