Aside from the healthcare workers who are at the forefront of saving the lives of the Covid patients who require medical attention, there are also the other frontliners like the military, police and local government units who are involved in the day-to-day operations during the enhance community quarantine (ECQ).
The Department of Transportation (DoTr) took action and followed the marching orders of President Duterte by organizing free shuttles for frontliners, primarily for healthcare workers to get to their proper destinations. The DoTr has made several transport schemes catering to medical frontliners during the implementation of the ECQ in Luzon. The schemes cover Metro Manila and its suburbs, extending to and from destinations that include Cavite, Laguna, Rizal and Bulacan.
