MARAWI CITY: Three police officers were injured in a firefight against gunmen in the municipality of Kapatagan in Lanao del Sur on Sunday that lasted for about 20 minutes.

Col. Madzgani Mukaram, Lanao del Sur police chief, said in an interview with The Manila Times on Monday that the incident was purely a police operation of serving a warrant of arrest in Barangay Daguan, Kapatagan when the incident happened.
