LA TRINIDAD, Benguet: The municipal government issued a directive strictly implementing physical distancing and the mandatory wearing of face masks among residents and visitors in all public places. Mayor Romeo Salda issued Executive Order 19 mandating people frequenting public places, offices and other establishments to observe the prescribed physical distancing and mandatory wearing of face masks. Salda ordered establishments to set up a wash area at their entrance for precautionary measures.The municipal chief executive ordered the personnel of the La Trinidad Municipal Police Station, village guards and volunteers to arrest violators. La Trinidad is the center of trade and commerce because it hosts the provincial vegetable trading post and the Benguet Agri Pinoy Trading Center, two of the major trading facilities in the province.
