THE government has secured a $500-million loan from the World Bank to strengthen its capacity to address disaster risks, respond to and recover from natural disasters.
In a statement on Friday, the Washington-based multilateral lender said the Philippines’ Third Risk Management Development Policy Loan would also support urgent needs created by the coronavirus disease 2019 crisis.
