AMID the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) imposed on Luzon, listed Eagle Cement Corp. has donated food packs to several villages in Bulacan. In a statement, the company said it distributed thousands of food packs containing rice and canned goods to 20 villages in the municipalities of San Ildefenso and Doña Remedios Trinidad. The most vulnerable residents also received medicines and supplements together with the food packs. Free water was also provided to those experiencing water shortages. The relief operations also included assisting 60 families belonging to the Dumagat tribe in Doña Remedios Trinidad, which the company has been supporting since 2017. The cement manufacturer is also looking to provide essential hygiene products like soap and sanitizers to more communities in the area in the next round of relief assistance. Eagle Cement shares slipped by 7 centavos or 92 percent to close at P7.55 apiece on Wednesday.
