WITH Covid-19 — coronavirus disease 2019 — still causing thousands of deaths every day, international students in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom are stranded academically and physically.
On March 27, thousands of foreign students were stuck at the University of the West of England campus, unable to get flights. Some who were able to leave paid exorbitant amounts of around £2,000 each, the UK-based The Guardian reported that day.
