ANGELES CITY, Pampanga: Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. on Sunday expressed dismay and ordered the closure and full quarantine of the Philippine Rehabilitation Institute (PRI) in Barangay Pampang here for admitting one coronavirus (Covid-19) patient, who is a non-resident, and three persons under investigation from Quezon City without the knowledge of the city government. “PRI has put the entire Angeles City in danger. Pinalusutan nila tayo ng positive patient na hindi taga rito, (They allowed a Covid-19 patient, who is even a non-resident),” Lazatin said. He deployed policemen and village officers to secure PRI and to ensure that no personnel or patient will be allowed to go out of their premises and will be on quarantine. Lazatin also ordered the business permit of PRI be revoked. “The city government will also prepare legal actions against PRI for putting the entire Angeles City in danger. Under my term, hindi na mabubuksan ‘yang hospital na yan (the hospital will not be allowed to operate),” Lazatin said.
