Japan helps build Cambodia’s longest road

PHNOM PEHN: The Japanese and Cambodian governments have inked a financial cooperation agreement for the construction of the longest paved road in Cambodia — the 366-kilometer (km) National Road 5 spanning from Kandal province’s Prek Kdam area to Banteay Meanchey province’s Poipet City.

The project will be funded through soft loans provided by the Japanese government.
