Canned food manufacturer Ligo Philippines is rechanneling its advertising budget this year to efforts in fighting the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) outbreak in the country. In a statement, Ligo said it would donate the budget to nongovernment organizations, charities and individual groups serving as frontliners in relief and response operations. “We will work hard to provide for you in times that you need us most,” Ligo Vice President for Advertising and Promotion Macky Tung was quoted as saying in the statement. He added that they would deliver food and supplies to the most affected families and communities and provide assistance and equip frontliners with personal protective equipment. “We will coordinate with local government units to ensure orderly distribution,” Tung said.
