The provincial government of Bulacan is set to distribute some 250,000 food packs to residents in the coming weeks. Gov. Daniel Fernando and municipality leaders will begin the relief operation starting today, March 23, as the provincial capitol alone will distribute a total of 120,000 food packs for the members of 4Ps (Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program) and other indigent Bulakenyos. Some 50 cavans of rice will be given for the 24 cities and municipalities in the province and 5 cavans of rice each barangay hall with 569 Sanguniang Barangays. The Damayang Filipino Movement Foundation Inc. is also continuously distributing bottles of alcohol and face masks in each barangay. In the town of Pandi, Mayor Rico Roque has begun distributing 36,000 food packs to the households in 22 villages since Saturday. Roque said the social distancing protocol was observed during the distribution. The food packs are left at the doorstep and households will be informed with a knock and an announcement through a microphone. In Bocaue, Mayor Joni Villanueva visited some villages to personally deliver the relief goods consisting of rice, canned goods and other basic needs of a household.
