Seller of overpriced face masks, alcohol arrested

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela: A 24-year-old online seller was arrested for selling ethyl alcohol and face masks worth P15,000 in an entrapment in front of the NorthStar Mall in Alibagu village on Friday, police said. The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Isabela (CIDG-Isabela) and the Department of Trade and Industry-Isabela members collared Michael Bravo of Brethan Subdivision in Marabulig Uno, Cauayan City, after receiving the P15,000 as payment for the medical supplies. Seized from Bravo were 31 bottles of 70-percent ethyl alcohol worth P9,300 and face masks worth P5,700. He was selling the bottles of alcohol at P300 each and the 38 N95 face masks at P150 each, LtCol. Arturo Marcelino, CIDG-Isabela chief, said. Bravo will be indicted for overpricing and for selling without government permits and licenses.
