Coca-Cola PH rechannels P150-M ad fund to Covid-19 fight

Coca-Cola Philippines has redirected its P150-million advertising fund to efforts aimed at curbing the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) outbreak in the country. In a statement on Friday, Coca-Cola Philippines President and General Manager Winn Everhart said the local unit of the softdrink giant would suspend commercial advertising and redirect its “space and budgets toward supporting Covid-19 relief and response efforts for the most affected communities.” The amount has been appropriated for the delivery of beverages to frontliners in public and private hospitals. It would also be used to equip health workers with additional personal protective equipment, in partnership with the Towns Foundation and the UP Medical Foundation.
