Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) on Thursday carried out special flights for stranded foreign passengers in Cebu to fly them back to Manila.

“The sweeper flights are intended for foreigners stranded in the outstations like Cebu. The goal is to carry them back to Manila so they can connect to their international flights,” PAL spokesman Cielo Villaluna said in a statement posted on Viber.
