WITH the escalating situation of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) situation in the country, former Health secretary and Iloilo 1st District Rep. Janette Garin is pressing for the Department of Health (DoH) to tap a hospital in each region that would solely care for virus-infected patients.
Garin said one such hospital would help curb the spread of the disease and would concentrate Covid-19 experts and health workers in one facility. She said this would also help centralize budget, medical supplies and other resources in one area.
