OLONGAPO CITY: While the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) continues to sow panic among the people and wreak havoc on the country’s economy, the health crisis has seen a resurrection of seemingly fading Filipino values, with the bayanihan (cooperation) spirit being shown everywhere in affected areas and the caring and kind attitude being exhibited by businesses here and in Zambales.
Zambales Vice Gov. Jay Khonghun on Tuesday posted on social media that he has talked with officials of power distributor Zambales Electric Cooperative 2 (Zameco 2) in the province and the company has agreed to stop disconnection and meter reading for 30 days starting March 17, 2020 in light of the Covid-19 outbreak.
