The philanthropic arm of the Gokongwei Group announced on Wednesday that it had set up a P100-million fund to help ease the negative impact of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in the Philippines.

It joins other major conglomerates and the families behind them in responding to the government’s call to provide assistance and help their employees — and the country — cope with the pandemic.
