In a briefing on March 16, 2020, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte announced that Luzon will be placed under enhanced community quarantine, effective on 12:00 AM of March 17, 2020 to 12:00 AM of April 13, 2020.
The memorandum said provision for food and essential health services would be regulated and that there would be a “heightened presence of uniformed personnel to enforce quarantine procedures.”
