In a chip shot, the basic stance is more important than on other shots because even little factors are accounted for.
First of all, like in Picture 1, place the ball a little more to the right from the center, with your hands a little ahead of your ball to make your left arm and your club’s shaft straight. Turn your head a little bit to the right, so you would see the top of the ball directly, and place 60 percent of your weight on your left foot. And like in Picture 2, drop your arms naturally, and make an open stance by placing your left foot a little behind. For some who cannot make a good chip shot, practice this stance in front of a mirror and practice your swing everyday.
