PANGILINAN-LED PLDT Inc. has intensified its preparation amid the entry of a third telecommunications player as it set capital expenditures at a record high — a move welcomed by the investors as shown by the firm’s recent share price movement.
On Friday, PLDT shares surged to P16 or 1.53 percent to finish at P1,059 apiece from previous trading day amid the 1.66-percent plunge for the benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index.
