Kimmich fires Bayern into cup semis, Saarbrucken wins

GELSENKIRCHEN, Germany: Joshua Kimmich edged Bayern Munich into the German Cup semi-finals with the only goal in a 1-0 win at Schalke 04 on Tuesday (Wednesday in Manila).

Bayern sit top of the Bundesliga and are also set for a place in the Champions League quarters having beaten Chelsea 3-0 in the first leg of their last-16 tie.
