GROWTH in the country’s money supply and bank lending accelerated at the start of the year, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) reported on Wednesday.

In a statement, the central bank said domestic liquidity (M3) increased by 11.9 percent year-on-year to P12.79 trillion in January, faster than the revised 11.3 percent in December 2019. Month-on-month and seasonally adjusted, M3 increased by 1.3 percent.
