Bargain-hunting lifts PSEi to 6,800

The stock market broke above the 6,700 level on Wednesday after staying there for three straight trading days as investors continued to hunt for bargains.

The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) surged 1.13 percent or 76.72 points to end at 6,867.26, while the wider All Shares added 0.66 percent or 26.81 points to finish at 4,089.06.
