GENERAL TRIAS CITY, Cavite: The Philippine National Police led by Police Regional Office-4A chief BGen. Vicente Danao Jr., together with Col. Marlon Santos, Cavite police provincial director, on Tuesday awarded the “Medalya ng Sugatang Magiting” to PCMS Rizaldy Espiritu and PSMS Reynante Tan. The awardees, both members of Gen. Trias City Police Station, were shot and injured by a former member of the Philippine Army who ran berserk at Sitio Carapiohan, Barangay Santiago, Gen. Trias City, on March 1. The suspect was said to have shot himself dead. Danao commended the two sergeants for their heroism during the awarding rites inside their hospital room. Local officials led by Mayor Antonio Ferrer and his brother, Cavite Sixth District Rep. Luis Ferrer, praised Espiritu and Tan for the heroic performance of their duty.
