Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio’s regional party on Tuesday denounced and described as “grossly unacceptable” the removal of its ally, Davao City Rep. Isidro Ungab, from his post as chairman of the House of Representatives’ Committee on Appropriations.

The House majority replaced Ungab with ACT-CIS party-list Rep. Eric Yap amid reports of an ouster plot against Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano.
