YOU have probably heard the term “Fourth Industrial Revolution,” which is usually intoned with awe at the bright new age for mankind it presumably heralds. A rational review of history since the First Industrial Revolution, however, reveals the Fourth Industrial Revolution for what it really is: A surprisingly effective, yet still ultimately meaningless buzz phrase.
This is what the World Economic Forum has to say about the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and I challenge anyone, even the nameless clown who wrote this wall of text, to explain what it means:
