AIRASIA Philippines said that while its international operations took a hit from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) outbreak, the airline remained optimistic its domestic flights could lift its performance.

The low-cost carrier is banking on its domestic operations to propel its business, after some of its Asian routes were affected by the travel restrictions imposed to hinder the spread of the virus, its Chief Executive Officer Ricardo Isla said on Friday.
