Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez, along with wife Janet Olivarez, rushed to the scene of fire at moment notice to personally assess the damage to properties and at the same time extended immediate relief assistance including food packs and financial aid to displaced families. Olivarez also ordered the Disaster Risk Reduction Management Officer (DRRMO) to put up tents for each affected family at the school’s covered court. AT least two children were reportedly killed in a fire that broke out at Purok 5 Silverio Comp. in Brgy. San Isidro Parañaque City yesterday morning. Initial report by the Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP- Pque.) said the chaired bodies of six-year old Andrew Edrosa and playmates Chris Lawrence Vasquez, eight were found two hours after the fire destroyed 50 houses, rendering 145 families homeless.
