The Department of Education (DepEd) said the country would continue to participate in the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) in 2021 despite its poor performance in 2018.

Education Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones reminds stakeholders during the Senate Committee on Basic Education, Arts and Culture hearing on February 18 on the 2018 Program for International Students Assessment (PISA) to use the results of the worldwide assessment toward evaluating the situation and injecting necessary reforms in the education system. The Philippines was ranked the lowest in reading comprehension and second lowest in science and mathematics among 79 countries in the PISA 2018. PHOTO FROM DEPED WEBSITE
